How to make the perfect omelet

Omelets are one of my favorite foods to eat at breakfast. But how do you make them perfectly? I've tried many recipes and different methods but none have worked. So today, I want to share some tips and tricks with you so you can make your own delicious and fluffy omelets every morning.

It is important to know that eggs can be temperamental when making omelets. They must be fresh, preferably from the organic market, and be kept cold until cooking. They must be kept cool, otherwise the whites will not form properly and the yolks may become runny. This causes your omelets to look oddly colored. If you're going to cook them immediately, it is best if the eggs are still warm.

Another tip is to separate each egg before adding them to the saucepan. The yolk and white should not be mixed together as this can cause the omelet's curdle.

You could end up burning the bottom half of the egg if the egg is added directly to the heat source. Instead, microwave the egg for 10 seconds before adding it to the pan. The microwave heat cooks your egg just right, without it becoming too soft.

Next, let's talk about mixing the eggs. You want to mix the eggs thoroughly before you add them. To do this, grab the bowl of the mixer and turn it upside down. Next, shake the bowl vigorously. This allows the air to be whipped and the egg to be mixed thoroughly.

The fun part is now - adding the milk to the mixture. The first step is to pour half of the milk in the beaten eggs. Next, fold the eggs into the remaining milk. Don't worry if there are still streaks of egg visible; these streaks will disappear once you flip the omelet.

After you have done folding the eggs, heat the pan on medium heat. The oil will start to smoke. Add 1/4 cup butter to the oil and swirl it around to coat all sides of the pan. Open the lid and sprinkle salt on the pan. The salt will help to prevent the omelet's sticking to the pan.

Cover the pan once you have formed the omelet. Wait for the top to set. Flip the omelet with a spatula, or flip it upside down. Cook the other side for another minute or two. Remove the omelet from the pan and serve immediately.

This recipe is best when used with whole milk. But, you can use skimmed milk as well.
