How to make a perfect omelet

Omelets are one of my favorite foods to eat at breakfast. But how do you create them perfectly? I have tried many different recipes and methods, but none of them work. Today, I'd like to share some tips with you in order to make delicious and fluffy omelets every day.

Before we start making omelets, let's remember that eggs are temperamental. They must be fresh, preferably from the organic market, and be kept cold until cooking. If they are not kept cold enough, the whites won’t form properly. The yolks will also break down too quickly and become runny. This causes your omelets to look oddly colored. If you plan to cook the eggs right away, it is best to use room temperature eggs.

Another tip is to separate the egg before adding it to the pan. The yolk and white should not be mixed together as this can cause the omelet's curdle.

The egg can burn if it is placed directly on the stovetop. Instead, heat the egg for 10 seconds in the microwave before placing it in the pan. The microwave heat cooks the eggs just right without overcooking them.

Next, let’s talk about mixing the egg. Mixing eggs together is important. You need to beat them well. To do this, take the bowl from the mixer and flip it upside-down. Now shake the bowl vigorously. This allows the air to be whipped and the egg to be mixed thoroughly.

Now comes the fun part: adding the milk to your mixture. Mix half of the milk with the eggs. Then fold the eggs in half into the remaining milk. Don't worry if there are still streaks of egg visible; these streaks will disappear once you flip the omelet.
