Erica Blaire Roby

Roby's appearance on Blue Smoke Grill (Food Network) shows that Roby has a lot more to her cooking background than most people realize. She studied under the best chefs and won a $7500 Preserve the Pit fellowship award. Competing against the best barbecue chefs in America, Roby put her skills to the test. Roby was up against tough competition, but she persevered, even with a broken finger.

Roby is a psychology grad and has worked both as a wine expert, as well criminal defense attorney. Prior to appearing on Food Network as a competitor, she was a sommelier and paired wines with different foods. It gave her the chance to re-discover her passion for cooking. Roby grew up with a father who owned a barbecue place.

Roby began cooking barbecue even though she was a lawyer. After hearing her father dream of opening a barbecue restaurant, she was inspired to pursue the dream. Roby signed up for a celebrity barbecue chef Harry Soo's cooking class in 2018. It was a success that Roby became a qualified pitmaster and she soon started working in a barbecue restaurant.


Her passion for barbecue began as a hobby and she eventually became obsessed with BBQ. At first, she made barbecue dishes from her back porch. She then went on to compete at barbecue competitions all across the country, where she cooked alongside some of the most renowned pit masters in America. She has since opened several pop-ups all around Dayton. She hopes to eventually open her own food truck.

In the upcoming third season of Food Network BBQ Team Brawl, two of the world's top chefs will join forces to compete for the ultimate grilling title. Anne Burrell and Jet Tila will be taking on Bobby Flay, Anne and Team Anne in an unforgettable dinner-party brawl. Matt Roth, a favorite of "BBQ Brawl", returns to the Austin-based Smokin Beauty along with his wife Thao.

In the first episode of Food Network BBQ Team Brawl, Ann told the contestants what to make while Team Bobby and Jet let them choose what to make. Team Bobby fell for his ceviche while Jet let them choose. This time, Team Anne has a big advantage. Anne even leapt down on Team Bobby's throat while he was reaching to get an ingredient.

The new season for BBQ Team Brawl is filled with familiar faces as in all Food Network competitions. Lee Ann Whippen will be Team Anne's judge. Lee Ann has been barbecuing since 1993. She is also the managing director of Deviled Pig in Tampa, and a judge at the Kansas City Barbecue Society. She has won several state and national barbecue championships.


In another battle, Flay and Symon battled it out over the best barbecue sandwich. This time, Lee Ann took a more traditional approach to the sandwich, while Susie went for an exotic twist. While her pork belly bam mi was bold and delicious, the judges disagreed. Team Anne's burger tasted great and was well-baked.

"Bobby Flay's Food Network BBQ" shows Bobby Flay, the ultimate grill master. Bobby Flay demonstrates his bbq expertise by utilizing flavor-packed ingredients from around the globe. He transforms his backyard into a barbecue mecca, using the grilling tools he loves most. Bobby Flay elevates the grilling game in each episode.

Bobby Flay became one of America's most renowned chefs after opening Mesa Grill, in 1991. He received the James Beard Foundation Rising Star Chef Award 1992. He also opened Bobby's Burger Palace, Bolo and Bar Americain. In addition, Bobby Flay has published over 14 cookbooks and has a podcast with his daughter, Sophie. As of March 2015, Bobby Flay is dating Christina Perez, a senior content and creative director for cannabis company Miss Grass. Flay is the father of one child, a girl, who was born in 1996.

A new group of contestants will be arriving at the ranch in the premiere episode. Each team will provide a signature snack. In the subsequent episodes, the teams will face off in a team brawl. The winner will be crowned Master of ’Cue and become an official BBQ expert on Food Network's digital platforms. The series will have 10 episodes beginning June 14.


Food Network will debut the new season on Sept. 9 at 9 p.m. ET. Sling and Philo allow anyone who missed the premiere to stream it online. There will be several celebrity chefs in this season including Eddie Jackson and Michael Symon. The Discovery+ winner will get a brand-new Discovery+ show. It is also available via FuboTV/Philo.

Anne Burrell, host of "BBQ Brawl", will again participate in the barbecue contest. All-new celebrity chefs will compete in the new season. The show will also be broadcast on Food Network.
